Aging2.0® is a global innovation platform on a mission to accelerate innovation to improve the lives of older adults around the world. Aging2.0 connects, educates and supports innovators through community building (including the Alliance and Chapter communities), events and programming.
Aging 2.0 is currently hosting a Global Startup Search to identify and learn about new startups focused on seniors around the world, to educate the community about Aging2.0 and innovations related to aging and to expand and deepen the global community.
URise Products, LLC was accepted to pitch at the Atlanta chapter of Aging 2.0 pitch event, held on June 16, 2016 at General Assembly in Atlanta, GA. As a brand new chapter, the event organizers did an incredible job pulling together a great event!

The startups were each given 4 minutes to pitch their company, followed by time for Q&A. They were judged on the following criteria:
Idea / Product
How strong is the quality of concept overall? Is the product or service viable? Is the pipeline for product development clear? Is there more to present than just a concept?
Team / Business Model
How strong and diverse is the startup team? Do they have a record of past sales/revenue? Have they raised any funding? Is there a clear strategic plan in place?
Impact on the Aging Experience
Does this company have the potential to improve quality of life for older adults, caregivers, and/or revolutionize the aging services industry?

After much thoughtful deliberation by the judges and with stiff competition, URise Products and the StandUp Walker won the Atlanta Aging 2.0 Global Startup Search!
StandUp Walker & URise Products, LLC now go on to the next level of competition where they will compete against the 39 other local chapter winners (drawn from the 34 states and 18 countries with chapters.) This next phase includes:
The winning startup from each local event will be featured on the Aging2.0 website and the general public will vote for their favorite company!
Aging2.0 HQ will also recruit expert judges to evaluate the online profiles of each company.
Based on the general voting (50%) and expert judge feedback (50%), a select few startups will be invited to present on stage at the Aging2.0 OPTIMIZE conference in San Francisco on October 13, 2016.
At the OPTIMIZE conference, one winner will be selected to receive $2500 and the honor of being the Aging2.0 Global Startup Search winner!
